I think I shall close this account. AS evident by the fact that no ones responds to my journals. It seems nobody cares about this account anymore anyway. So if you want to talk to me, I'll be here: [link]
*turns on the lights and roaches scatter* Wow... It sure has been a long time since I updated. Mostly because summer has been busy. I haven't had time to sit down and do some proper art. I'm thinking about making a new account.
This is partly due because I have very little professional art on here that I am proud of. Most of this is junk from a period where my art was a little weaker. I still have a long way to go before I would consider my work to be excellent.
Another reason is because I have a couple stories living in my head at the moment, each one dying for me to illustrate them. Last time I checked I have four stories. Each one of them is unique and I think fairly awesome in one point or another.
So I want a fresh start as it were and a better username. I can't guarantee that making a new account would make me update more often or even create better art. But it is an idea.
So the time has come for summer to once again grace me with almost near infinite free time. It is about freaking time.
So the school coming to a close and my free time opening up again. I think I will once again, try and tackle my 365 day picture project. I kind of stopped early on in the project because of school. So with summer, I hope to stay a little more consistent with it. I will aslo be painting a lot more often and what not.
Now, I need a new computer before I head off to college. The one I currently own was given to me free by a friend of mine and is about 4 years old. It has a new hard drive, but it is a Gateway Computer, and quite frankly, it sucks. I can not manage to do anything with it other than access the internet and play a few assorted video games. So I need one to take to college with me, I was thinking on the laptop side. Light, portable, and what not.
I am a little torn about which I should get. Dell's are always cheap and easy to get a hold of, but I thought about exploring something in the Macbook range. The last time I had contact with a Mac computer was back in middle school when James Madison's 7th Grade writing lab had a bunch of old Apple computers. AS you can tell that was years ago.
Lately, I've been hearing good things from Apple users and from the Macbook line in general. So I figure I might try one out just to see if I would enjoy using it.
Yeah, there was an extremely long absence of art here for the past several months. I apologize, life and time has a way of getting away from you.
I won't go into a lot of detail as to why I haven't really posting anything for a while. To be brief, I find it hard to please myself with my art anymore. I suppose that is a good thing, be critical of my art and not being satisfied. Yet, it is really stiffling my creativity, I suppose.
I still haven't managed to get Voice into any better quality. I need to find someone with a mega scanner, so I can get a good quality version here on deviantART. I also haven't finished any of the projects I hoped to get finished last year. Voice was the only accomplishment. I'm quite disappointed about that. I feel like I've failed somehow, that I am not as creative or artistic as I thought I was. Which is also part of the my art crisis right now. I hope to get out of this slump soon. I hope to get some decent artwork on this page. I do not think I nearly good enough. I look at my gallery and I am not pleased with a lot of it. Things I thought we good two years ago, are eye sores to me now. I guess that is also a sign I have progressed as an artist. I don't know.
I've got a new project in mind for my deviantART page. I thought of this as a way to help me cure my art block and also do something fun. I came with this idea at 1:30 this morning. I call it 365 Days of Pictures. Basically, I take one snapshot everyday for a year and see what I get. Nothing thought ahead of time, just random spur of the moment pictures of people, buildings, animals, and nature.
I see this as something fun to do and something creative. I'll post the first picture tomorrow. Hopefully, this will be one project I might actually finish.
